There exist a certain number of equipment items for facade work: fixed scaffolds, rolling scaffolds, tubular scaffolds, racks, scissor cradles and suspended platforms (earlier known as suspended scaffold or hanging scaffold). Suspended platforms are also known as portable walkways in certain regions.
Nevertheless, whatever the name of this equipment, it is used for temporary access to the facade of buildings for refacing, high pressure cleaning, painting, installing joinery, installing windows, insulation or siding.

The suspended platforms are motorised (electric hoists e.lift 350, e.lift 500, e.lift 800, e.lift 1000) and their climbing speed is 9 metres per minute. This climbing speed enables to install them on high-rise buildings.
FIXATOR proposes two types of suspended platforms: MODULECO and MODULAHO. These suspended scaffolds have been designed for maximum modularity. Made up of non-skid aluminium floors of 1, 2 or 3 metres, ledger strips and handrails complying with the EN 1808 standard, the suspended platforms can be associated with different types of C-stirrups and electric hoists. They can also be associated with adjustable angle sections in order to follow the shape of the building as closely as possible.

An innovative solution developed by FIXATOR at the end of 2005, meets these scenarios. This is the suspended platform on masts: FIXEO.

The suspended platforms can be used on multiple building configurations thanks to various attachment modes on the roof or the facade. Traditionally, suspended platforms use suspension beams (FIXAPOUTRE S) with counterweights on flat roofs or parapet brackets, which are positioned on the parapet of the building. Nevertheless, suspended platforms cannot be used if the building does not have a flat roof providing a resistance that is sufficient to hold suspension beams and the counterweights or if it does not have a parapet meeting the technical attachment requirements.

Moreover, depending on the type of work to be carried out on the facade, the lifting capacities of suspended platforms can be adapted by adjusting their length and the lifting capacity of hoists used. In this way, FIXATOR suspended platforms can measure from 2 to 16 metres and bear a load of up to 900kg. As these parameters vary in function of one another, we request you to consult the table of loads and compositions of MODULECO and MODULAHO.
